Adventures of the Laundry Mat.

So, I'm sitting here at 2nd South Coin Laundry... straight up classy, I know, and I can't help but think about the last time I was at a laundry mat. It was when I was a little girl. I always LOVED going to the laundry mat with my Mom, Christina and Darren. I was probably around 6 years old. I think at the time we were in an apartment without a washer & dryer so we would make pretty frequent trips there. I loved it because they had a pac man arcade game and we used to take turns playing it. Also, sometimes my Mom would take us next door to get an ice cream cone...  maybe it was to rite aid... I can't really remember. I also loved the smell. Good memories!

Well, this is just embarrassing. Thank goodness I was 1 out of 2 people here... but I just messed up the simple task of going to the laundry mat. It's quite obvious that the last time I was here was when I was about 6 and that I spent the majority of my time eating ice cream and playing pac man. So, I get here with my big armful of bedding and first thing I see all along the wall are these huge front load commercial "washers"... just like the care instructions say on our comforter! I'm like, YEAH, this isn't so hard. So I throw it all in, dump my soap in (powder kind) and shut the door. I grab my quarters and am about to start dropping them in when I get the feeling I should stop. I look up and see a huge sign that says "30 lb. dryers". Oh great. I felt so stupid! I was just hoping nobody saw me! So, I try to hurry and grab my bedding out and walk it over to a washer. In the process I managed to leave a huge trail of powder soap allllllllll over the floor and some left in the dryer. At this point I just feel bad. I'm looking around for a broom and I see the lady that's working this morning watching me suspiciously. I finally decided to sit down in a little corner and blog about it. Every once and awhile I glance at my powder trail.
{Believe me, it's much worse in real life}

 I'm tempted to get on my hands and knees and start gathering it up! I'm such a problem solver. Okay, there are a quite a few older people here now. I'm going to gather my courage now and go ask for a broom. I'm afraid somebody is going to slip and fall on it and break their hip! I couldn't live with that! Oh, I'm so dramatic.
