Blessed.

I feel like every one of these posts could use this title... but this one is going to take it.

1. Life is beautiful. Every day BJ and I live our little life together, learning something new about each other, laughing, living and loving. Marriage is wonderful - it's a constant learning experience & I love it. I'm grateful to my Heavenly Father for the love that we share and that we get to live this life of love together forever.

2. BJ has been home from his mission for ONE YEAR today. Talk about a busy year for that boy! I am so grateful that he served a mission. He learned so much in those two years and hasn't forgotten. He's taken those things and not only used them on his mission to change lives of so many people in Texas, but has made OUR lives better also. He is the greatest example in my life. He amazes me, day after day.

3. I started a new job this week and I couldn't be happier. Long story short - I've been in two different offices since I moved here to Utah last December and neither of them felt right. There were so many other things that factored in to the reasons they didn't feel right, but all in all - working in a bad environment was effecting everything. It was effecting my everyday life, & mainly my attitude. I didn't feel good... and I needed to make a change. So, I finally went back out and started looking. (Fun fact about me: I really dislike, AKA: HATE, job hunting, interviews and starting a new job. It terrifies me! But I just had to do it.) Well, despite all my worries, everything fell right into place - I got two working interviews where both offered me the job that same day. I prayed about it and talked to BJ and knew without a doubt which offer I needed to take. This new office is everything I was looking for, as close to the Struve's (my old, most AMAZING job in the whole world) as I can get here in Utah. From the first minute I was there I just felt comfortable. I'm normally pretty shy at first and as much as I don't like to admit it, I struggle with my confidence in a new situation. But, MIRACULOUSLY, at this new office I fell right into place - no uncontrollable nervousness, no uncertainties, no gut-wrenching temptations to flee the premises! I WANTED to be there. Frankly, it was strange. I haven't felt this way about working since I moved here. Inside, I know I'm good at what I do but for the last 8 months since leaving the Struve's, I have been scared to show it. This new office makes me remember why I love my job and why I love dentistry. It is a huge relief that I can't even begin to describe. BJ & I have been praying that something would come along and all I can say is, our prayers were answered - beyond anything we could have hoped for. I can't even explain what this means to me! My Heavenly Father loves me and will always be there for me. I see it everyday.

4.We love FAMILY!  BJ's sister, Shannon just moved to Price, Utah to go to school! BJ's Grandma, Pat & Shannon were here last weekend on their way to Price to get her settled. It was such a wonderful weekend. We are so excited that Shannon is closer now. She is coming this weekend to stay with us & we can't wait. She makes us laugh a lot. She should consider majoring in Comedy :) Also, we are headed home next weekend for one of my bestest friends, Amanda's wedding! It's going to be so great to see everybody. We will be there for my niece's 1st birthday party! Ella is beyond beautiful and I can't even begin to describe how much I love that girl! We can't wait to see everyone next weekend.

5. We love being so close to SO MANY temples! It's been such a blessing for us. The Salt Lake Temple is breath-taking, always, and living 2 blocks away is one of my favorite things about living here. We pass it everyday, get to walk through temple square often and get to go there as much as we can! Also, a few weekends ago, we went and did a session at the Bountiful Temple. It was so wonderful! We really would like to go to all the temples that we can while living here in Utah. We have a goal of attending 100 temples together in our lifetime! So far we have attended 4 together... we have a long ways to go! But we are excited to make it happen! It's a huge blessing in our lives. We love the temple!

We are so very blessed. I wonder if it's possible to over-use that word... if so, I most definitely have in the last year. It's been a wonderful one.

Loving Life

Ok to start of this is BJ's blog post and I'm not too sure how to do all of this. I'm getting ready for work and I remembered that yesterday Becky was saying how she needed to do another post...so I took that and ran with it! Life is going great and we are really excited for my sister Shannon and my Grandma to come later today. Shannon is attending college in Price, UT and so will be staying with us for a few days before heading down there. Thanks again for all the love and support from our family and friends! Love you guys.

BobbyJames (the best person I know) Hubbard.

My darling husband is at work and I miss him tremendously! (He only left about 5 minutes ago from his lunch break... BUT STILL!)

He is the absolute best thing in my life and I love him. Just thought you should know.
This is just a FEW of the things that he not only does for me, but what he is for me.

{He is the best example in my life.}

{He helps me do hard things.}

{He makes me laugh, everyday.}

{He buys me flowers. }

{He loves me unconditionally.}

{He is my best friend.}

{He is my eternal companion, my everything.}

Now, I can't wait for him to come home!

Our Love Story.

It's such a wonderful life.

Okay, just a heads up..... this is gonna be a long one. I have a lot of catching up to do!

So, to start this off, let me just say how unbelievably blessed I am to be living the life I am living. I want to be able to share it with my family & friends.... so here I am... finally getting with it in the blogging world!

I married the most amazing man I've ever known, my wonderful husband, BobbyJames Perrin Hubbard (I know, it's a mouth-full... but a CUTE mouth-full, right!?), a little over 3 months ago. We were married for time & all eternity in the Oakland California Temple on April 20, 2012. It was the most beautiful day of my life and I will never forget the love I felt for that boy as we became husband and wife.

But.......... before I get too far into that, I want to do some catching up with,' Our Story.'

So, for our wedding website, I did a little rendition of 'Our Story'.... so I'm just going to do the ol' copy & paste trick here to catch us up. I'll add some pictures along the way for flavor!
{This is how it began.}

4 years ago a girl named Becky met a boy named BJ
and now they are going to live happily ever after.
Our story is kind of a long story. It's a good story though, a little complicated, a little confusing at times, but in the end, it all makes perfect sense. It was all worth it. We know that every part of our story was a piece of the puzzle that got us to where we are today... and we are so grateful we are here, together.
It all started at Youth Conference. BJ and I are BIG fans of Youth Conference now. Especially Regional Youth Conference! Who knew that we would end up meeting the person we would spend the rest of our lives with...
It was May 30, 2008. We were both 18 years old, both getting ready to graduate from High School. Youth Conference that year was a big regional one with stakes from Northern California down to Carson City, Nevada. It was held at the UNR Campus. (BJ thought he was big man on campus that weekend... obviously I thought he was too!
I got there early because my Mom was one of the leaders putting on the conference and so I had to help her get set up and check kids in. I was sitting at a little table outside in the hot sun, checking in kid after kid when I saw him. This was the second time I had seen this boy. The first time I had seen him was at a Reno Stake Dance on New Years Eve.

   He caught my eye that night.
 I thought he wasREALLY handsome AND he could dance. I didn't have the nerve to go talk to him (especially since I was there with my boyfriend at the time!) so I just left that night with him on my mind. So here we are, almost 4 months later. I'm sitting here in the hot sun and I see him AGAIN. Now he has caught my eye,twice. I instantly started giving myself silly little pep-talks on how I needed to talk to him sometime that weekend. Well, obviously.... we talked!
The picture at the very top is of the MOMENT we met. Some of my friends and I were walking to the dance when we saw these two boys in hideous orange thrift shop pants, white shirts and ties that looked like they were made out of carpet from the 70's. One of them was that "boy", BJ, and the other was his best friend, Derrik. They were standing next to an emergency pole, pointing up at it like weirdos and taking pictures of themselves. We started laughing at them and asked them what they were doing. Somehow we ended up posing like weirdos with this emergency
pole, taking pictures with them.
That's where it all began.

A few weeks after Youth Conference ended, June 16, 2008,  I got a message on, yes.... facebook. This "boy" commented on one of my Senior Pictures. It said:
"So not to be weird or anything but you have really pretty eyes! Just thought you should know!"

(This is the picture he commented on!)

I was ecstatic
So, we started talking, a lot.
He took me on our first date a week later. We met in Reno (half-way between us) and went to Chili's and to the drive-in!

We had a blast
So, we started meeting in Reno to go on dates and we really started to like eachother. I thought he was the cutest thing on the planet (still do!) We dated the entire summer and had a lot of fun together....

{Summer 2008}

...but eventually the summer ended, and so did we. I was moving to Idaho to go to school
and BJ was getting ready to go on a mission. We both know, now more than ever that everything happens for a reason and the timing just wasn't right.

BJ went on his mission to Dallas, Texas and I went to BYU-I for a year then moved back home and got my RDA license. It was a good two years for both of us.

We both learned so much about ourselves and life, made so many lifelong friends and wonderful memories during that time. We wouldn't trade it for the world. Everything always works out in the end is something we've both learned.

We wrote back and forth a few times during those two years, always trying to keep in touch with eachother... and before you know it, BJ came home. It was August 31, 2011!

He called me the next day, we had a nice chat (I was so excited that he called me!!!) and we both decided that we wanted to see each other before he left to go to school at LDS Business College in Salt Lake City... the next week! He invited me to his homecoming the next day and... I went! It was so good to see him and his family again after almost 3 years. We went on a date to Reno after that, spent the entire day together and ended with a drive-in movie, just like our first date

As you can imagine, the date went well! Really well.  We started dating again even though it was long distance. We knew we wanted to be together. During that time, I made a few trips out to Utah and spent Thanksgiving with his family in Gardnerville.

We fell right back into love, and it didn't take long for us to know that this was right and we wanted to be together, forever. So, here we are! I moved to Salt Lake City on December 9, 2011 and on December 26, 2011, BJ was down on one knee asking me to be his wife.

Guess what... I said YES

So there we are, engaged and happy as can be!
Here are some of our favorite engagement pictures.

We set the date to be married in the Oakland California temple for April 20, 2012. To help count down the days, we made an adorable paper chain. It still took FOREVER.

FINALLY, the big day arrived. It was the most beautiful day of our lives. ALMOST everyone we love was there. I was really missing my brother Darren who is on his mission in Dallas, Texas (yes, the same mission as BJ's!)... BUT, I know that he is where he needs to be and where Heavenly Father needs him. Well, we were married on Friday and then Saturday, we had a reception in Susanville, California. So many wonderful people, family & friends came to help. We are so grateful.

{I know this is a lot of pictures.... but it was just such a beautiful day. I can't help but share.}

{ALMOST everyone that came to the temple}
Here are some pictures of my sweet little niece, Ella and some of our BEST FRIENDS that came all the way to Oakland for us. It meant so much.

So after we were married, BJ & I drove to Lake Tahoe for the night. It's such a beautiful place. The next day we were up and on our way back to Susanville for our reception that night. It turned out beautifully, exactly how I pictured it. We had SO much help. Some honorable mentions go to... FIRST: My Mom (I can't even begin to describe how much work she put into that day for us), my Dad (for putting up that crazy tent for a second time now. Good thing he only has two daughters!) Christina and Tim, Daniel, Grandparents, Geegee & Papa, Harry & Sue, Sylvia & Frank, and some of the best friends in the world, Kaden, Kyler, Tara & Shauni for all your hard work on making the reception beautiful.
Here are just a "few" pictures from that night.
{Special thanks to Gena Ellena for taking our beautiful pictures & Trish Gilmore for taking pictures during the reception. It's so wonderful to have them to look back on}
